Privacy
Last updated 2026-09-29. This describes what actually
happens to your data when you use RSF.
What RSF is
RSF scores a job opportunity against a candidate profile you provide.
There are no accounts and no sign-in. Your candidate profile — title,
experience, preferences, and so on — lives only in your own browser's
storage; RSF's own systems never save a copy of it. Separately, RSF
keeps a small, anonymous record of how the tool is used (described
below) so we can tell whether it's actually helping people — that
record is not your profile, and never contains your resume or job
description text.
What leaves your browser, and where it goes
- Job description and resume text are sent to
Anthropic, the AI processing provider RSF uses to perform your
analysis. RSF's own application does not intentionally store that
text — not on our server, not in the Google Sheet described below,
and not in a database (we don't have one). We don't control
Anthropic's own data-handling policies for API requests, and can't
make promises on their behalf — see Anthropic's own terms for
that.
- Your candidate profile (title, experience,
preferences, etc.) is sent to Anthropic as part of scoring a given
opportunity, and otherwise never leaves your browser.
- Usage metadata — company, role title, the job
posting's URL (if you provide one), your scores, RSF's
recommendation text, and (if you choose to enter one) a
self-reported name — is recorded in a private Google Sheet so we
can track beta usage. This also includes a privacy-preserving
identifier derived from your job description, resume, and profile
together, used only to tell whether a re-run used the exact same
inputs as before. The job description and resume text themselves
are never included in this record.
- An anonymous, random client identifier is
generated and stored in your browser (not tied to your name, email,
or any account) so we can tell returning visitors apart from new
ones and measure whether RSF is useful across more than one job
search. Clearing your browser's site data resets it — though usage
records already collected under the previous identifier aren't
deleted when you do that.
- A small set of usage events (e.g. that an
analysis was run, that a daily limit was hit) are recorded alongside
that client identifier and a coarse category when something fails.
Whenever your request actually reached the AI provider — whether or
not the analysis then finished successfully — we also record the AI
token usage for that request, which we use to measure RSF's
operating cost. None of these events contain job description,
resume, or profile text.
- A separate privacy-preserving identifier,
derived from just your job description's text — not your resume or
profile — is recorded so we can tell whether you're evaluating the
same opportunity more than once, versus a new one.
- Your IP address is used only to enforce a daily
usage limit that keeps RSF free to use; RSF's own code only ever
stores a one-way hash of it, never the raw address. We can't make
promises about the ordinary connection logs our hosting and network
providers may keep as standard infrastructure practice — that's
outside RSF's own systems and outside our control, the same way it
would be for any website.
- Where you came from (e.g. a source tag in the
link you clicked, or the site that referred you) may be recorded
alongside your anonymous client identifier, so we can tell how
people are finding RSF. No advertising or tracking network is
involved — this stays inside RSF's own logging.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no passwords beyond an optional shared beta password.
- No third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
- We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
- No history feature — nobody, including us, can browse back
through your past analyses from RSF itself. If you want a copy of
one, use the "Copy report" / "Copy JSON" actions on the results
page before you navigate away.
Questions or a request about your data
Use the contact link in the footer, or on any results page (it
includes the analysis ID so we can find the right record without
needing any other identifying information from you).
