Terms of Use
Effective October 27, 2026 · Version 2026-10-27
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ARO MARKETING LABS LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"), which operates Career OS. By clicking "Analyze the opportunity", by agreeing when you create or sign in to an account, or by otherwise using Career OS, you agree to these Terms. Our Career OS Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. These Terms apply only to Career OS. Other products we operate have their own terms and privacy policies, and a Career OS account isn't an account for any other product. If you don't agree, please don't use Career OS.
1. What Career OS is
Career OS helps you decide whether a job is worth your time. You add a job description by pasting it, uploading a file or giving us a link. Career OS then shows what the employer appears to need ("What this employer needs"). If you add your background and résumé, it also gives an assessment of how well you fit ("Your fit"). When you ask, it can suggest your background details from your résumé. You can keep track of jobs, their status and your notes.
Career OS is in beta. Features, limits and availability may change, and things may not always work as expected.
2. Who can use Career OS
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. Career OS is for individuals managing their own job search. Don't use it to provide services to other people (for example, as a recruiter or coach) without our written permission. During the beta, Career OS is available only to people in the United States.
3. Using Career OS with and without an account
You can start without an account. Work you add without signing in is linked to your browser and is deleted 7 days after your last visit. To keep your work, sign in with your email address. If you've been working without an account in the same browser, that work moves into your account.
We don't use passwords; we email you a one-time code. Anyone who can read your email may be able to sign in as you, so keep your email account secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@resumesignalframework.com if you think someone else has used it.
4. Free use and limits
Career OS is currently free. We limit how much you can do: for example, how many opportunities you can analyze, how often an analysis can be rerun, and how much can be done without an account or from one network in a day. Free allowances have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged, and we may change them.
We don't currently sell anything. If we introduce paid features, we'll publish the terms that apply to them before you can buy anything.
5. What AI-generated analysis is, and isn't
Career OS uses artificial intelligence to produce its analyses and suggestions. They are assessments, not predictions or facts:
- They can be incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent. They can misread a job description or your résumé, and the same input can produce different results.
- They're based only on what you provide and what the job posting says. They don't know the employer's actual needs, process, other candidates or decisions.
- They aren't career, legal, financial, immigration or other professional advice.
- We don't promise any outcome. That includes interviews, offers or employment.
Career OS isn't an employment agency, recruiter or job board. We don't send your information to employers. Employers don't see your analyses, and no employer is affiliated with Career OS unless we say so.
6. Your responsibilities
You decide what to do with your results. Review analyses and suggestions before relying on them. That includes details we fill in from your résumé, which you should check and correct.
You're responsible for:
- your résumé and applications;
- anything you send to employers;
- making sure what you tell employers is accurate.
7. Your content
What it is. "Your content" means what you add to Career OS: job descriptions, links, résumés, background details, preferences, notes and application statuses.
You keep your rights. We don't claim ownership of your content, or of the analyses Career OS produces for you. You may use your analyses for your job search.
The permission you give us. You allow us to store, copy, process and transmit your content, including sending it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy (such as our AI provider). This permission covers only what's needed to:
- provide Career OS to you;
- keep it secure;
- enforce these Terms.
It ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in backups until they expire, as the Privacy Policy describes. We don't use your content to train AI models, and we don't sell it.
What you confirm. You confirm you have the right to add your content and to let us process it this way. Job descriptions are usually published by employers: add them for your own job-search use. Don't add other people's personal information unless you have a right to. Don't add sensitive information Career OS doesn't need, such as government ID numbers, financial account details or health information.
8. Acceptable use
Don't:
- use Career OS to break the law, or to harass, discriminate against or deceive anyone, including by creating fraudulent applications or impersonating someone;
- add content you don't have the right to use, including someone else's résumé without their permission;
- try to get around usage limits, for example with multiple accounts, repeated anonymous sessions, or different devices or networks used for that purpose;
- use bots, scripts or other automated means to access Career OS, or use it to bulk-retrieve pages from job sites;
- use the link feature to reach pages that aren't public or that a site restricts;
- add content designed to manipulate the AI or the service, such as hidden instructions in a document, or try to extract the instructions behind our analyses;
- probe, attack, overload or interfere with Career OS, or try to access anyone else's data;
- copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from Career OS, except where the law allows this despite this restriction.
9. Job links and other websites
When you give us a link, our server requests that public page to read the job description. If the page links to the employer's own posting, we may request that posting too. We don't read certain sites that restrict automated access, such as LinkedIn and Indeed, and some other sites may block us; in those cases, you paste the description instead. You're responsible for using job sites in line with their own terms.
We don't control other websites. We aren't responsible for their content, and job postings may be inaccurate, out of date or closed. A link or a posting appearing in Career OS isn't an endorsement.
10. Services we rely on
Career OS depends on third-party providers, including the AI provider, hosting provider and email provider named in our Privacy Policy. Their outages, limits or changes can affect Career OS.
11. Availability and changes to Career OS
We may change, limit, suspend or discontinue any part of Career OS, or all of it, at any time. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free or secure.
Keep your own copies of anything important. If you have an account, you can download your data from the Account page; our Privacy Policy lists what the download includes. Work you haven't saved to an account can't be downloaded until you sign in. If we decide to shut Career OS down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice when reasonably possible, in Career OS and by email to account holders where we can, so you can download your data.
12. Ending your use; suspension
You can stop using Career OS at any time. You can delete your account from the Account page, which deletes your data as our Privacy Policy describes.
We may end your access to Career OS, which can mean deleting your account or your unsaved work and its data, if:
- we reasonably believe you've seriously or repeatedly broken these Terms;
- it's needed to protect Career OS or other people;
- the law requires it.
Where it's reasonable and lawful, we'll try to contact you first so you can download your data.
Sections 5, 7 (your confirmations), 8, and 13 to 17 continue to apply after your use ends.
13. Disclaimers
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, CAREER OS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THIS INCLUDES IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don't warrant that analyses or suggestions are accurate, complete or suitable for any decision. Some places don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE AREN'T LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, LOST EARNINGS OR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO CAREER OS OR THESE TERMS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO CAREER OS OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO US $100. These limits apply whatever the legal theory. They don't limit liability that can't be limited by law.
15. Responsibility for misuse
If you use Career OS in breach of these Terms, or add content you didn't have the right to add, and that leads to a claim against us, you're responsible for the reasonable losses and costs that result, to the extent the law allows.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at hello@resumesignalframework.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court. Otherwise, disputes will be resolved in the state courts located in St. Louis County, Missouri, or the federal court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws where you live.
17. General
- These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Career OS.
- If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- If we don't enforce a provision, that isn't a waiver.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms.
- We may transfer ours to an organization that takes over operating Career OS. We'll tell account holders if that happens.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The current version and its effective date are always on this page.
- Material changes: we'll tell you in Career OS by asking you to agree to the updated Terms before your next AI analysis, and we may also email account holders. If you don't agree, you can still view and delete your data, and download it if you have an account.
- Minor changes (for example, clarifications that don't reduce your rights) take effect when posted.
